Founded by former professional player Pedro Álvarez, Orlando Stars Soccer Academy is dedicated to developing young athletes into future champions. Our professional coaching, top-tier training, and commitment to excellence set us apart as one of Florida’s premier soccer academies.

In Orlando, we offer a self-funded scholarship program designed to support young players with exceptional potential who may not have the financial means to cover competition costs. Every player deserves a chance to shine—and we’re here to make that possible.

Our commitment extends internationally through our foundation in Medellín, Colombia, where we work hand-in-hand with under-resourced communities to strengthen youth soccer in vulnerable neighborhoods.

We regularly send cleats, uniforms, and equipment to support local youth teams—opening doors for those who need it most.

Training

OUR PROGRAMS

BASE

Aimed at children ages 5 to 14, this program offers a first introduction to soccer, focusing on basic skills and motor development.

Through dynamic activities, we identify and enhance their skills, laying the foundation for their athletic growth.

COMPETITIVE

Aimed at players ages 8 to 19 with mobility, motor skills, and technique. This program perfects their ball control and soccer skills. It provides them with skills tailored to their level, fostering their growth and experience in the game.

PREMIER

For high-performance players ages 9 to 18, with skills that strengthen the team and excel in demanding competitions.

Players can sustain a high level of play for more than 70 minutes, with a solid tactical understanding and advanced technique that makes the difference.

About

MEET THE
EXPERIENCE

Meet our Founder & Coach, Pedro Álvarez, known as "El Campero", is a former professional footballer from Medellín, Colombia, with 14 years of experience, 504 professional matches, and over 50 international appearances.

He played for the Colombian National Team, contributing to Colombia’s journey to the 1994 FIFA World Cup, and won two Colombian league titles with Junior (1995) and Atlético Nacional (1999).

Internationally, he lifted the Interamerican Cup (1997) and Merco Norte Cup (1998) with Atlético Nacional.

Pedro also played in Major League Soccer (MLS) for MetroStars NY (2001). Now, as the founder of Orlando Stars, he is dedicated to developing the next generation of soccer players, instilling excellence on and off the field.
